Dr. Adesoji Akinwumi Adeyemi is a Reader (Associate Professor) in Forest Biometrics and Remote Sensing in the Department of Forest Resources Management, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ilorin, Nigeria. He began his academic career at Federal University of Technology, Owerri, and joined the services of the University of Ilorin as Lecturer I in 2017. He graduated from the University of Ibadan with a First Class Honours, and had MSc-Degree in Forest Biometrics and Remote Sensing (Distinction) under a collaborative arrangement between University of Ibadan and George-August University, Gottingen-Germany, finishing with a record Weighted Average Score of 74.3%. He holds a PhD in Forest Resources Management. An astute researcher, he has published several articles in reputable international journals, and attended several academic/professional conferences, within and outside Nigeria. He was the Acting Head Department of Forest Resources Management between 2020 and 2022. Dr. Adeyemi is involved in many International Sustainability Processes/Programmes, including HCV-HCS, RSPO-P&C/SCC and Responsible Sourcing Schemes.
