Farhan Jimba Moshood is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Forest Resources Management, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ilorin, Nigeria. He is an environmental researcher specializing in forest ecology, silviculture, biodiversity management and climate change. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Forestry and Wildlife from the University of Ilorin, a master’s degree in Forest Biology and Silviculture from the University of Ibadan, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from Al-Hikmah University, Nigeria. He has worked on several projects related to ecosystem restoration, carbon sequestration assessment and biodiversity assessment of urban forests. He is a multi-grant award winner including two Rufford Foundation grants for projects focused on climate change education in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria.

He is presently the Chairman of the AfricanYouth4Forests (AY4F) Youth Advisory Council under the African Forest Forum (AFF). Beyond research, he enjoys volunteering, reading, travelling and exploring innovative solutions to environmental challenges.
